Gran Turismo 7 Daily Races: January 26 - Full Breakdown & Tips (Race A, B, C) (2026)

Get Ready to Rumble! Gran Turismo 7's Latest Daily Races Just Dropped, and They're Mixing Things Up!

Are you ready for a fresh batch of adrenaline-pumping action in Gran Turismo 7? The latest set of Daily Races has officially landed, offering players three exciting new challenges to conquer over the next seven days. This week, the game is shaking things up with some interesting twists, including the return of the Gr.2 class and a surprising absence of a one-make road car race. Plus, get ready to get your tires dirty as off-road racing makes a comeback, alongside some fresh regulation changes we haven't seen recently.

For those new to the track, Daily Races are the heart of Gran Turismo 7's competitive multiplayer scene. Your performance in these races directly impacts your Driver Rating (DR) and Sportsmanship Rating (SR), which are updated after every race. These ratings are crucial for determining your standing and league in the game's premier esports series each season. To jump into the action, you'll first need to unlock Sport Mode by completing Menu Book 9, titled "Championship: Tokyo Highway Parade," in the GT Cafe. Don't forget, a PlayStation Plus subscription is a must to participate!

Race A: The Wildcard Rallycross Chaos!

Race A is shaping up to be a delightfully chaotic affair, taking us to the only mixed-surface track in the game: the Rallycross layout at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. Imagine a long asphalt stretch blending into a short, reverse section on turns 12 and 11, all punctuated by thrilling dirt segments. You're free to choose any car from the Gr.B class, but here's a tip: the fictional "Gr.B" cars are generally much better suited for this track than most real-world rally cars within the same class, thanks to the Balance of Performance (BOP).

This will be a seven-lap sprint filled with excitement, kicking off right from the staging area. You'll face a grid start with the "False Start Check" feature enabled. This means you need to keep your car firmly on the brakes until the start light goes out. Any premature movement will result in an instant torque cut that lasts proportionally to how early you jumped the start. With 12 cars jostling for position on a staggered double-file grid, expect some fender-benders before the first lap is even complete!

But here's where it gets controversial... this week, neither your Driver Rating nor Sportsmanship Rating will be updated for Race A! This makes it a fantastic opportunity for some low-stakes fun, or perhaps a chance to practice some aggressive maneuvers without consequence. So, go ahead and push those limits!

Race A Details:

  • Track: Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya Rallycross – 7 laps
  • Car: Gr.B – Garage/Specified Car
  • Power/Weight/PP Limit: BOP (L)
  • Tires: Dirt
  • Settings: Specified
  • Start Type: Grid Start with False Start Check
  • Mandatory Pit Stop:
  • Fuel Multiplier:
  • Tire Multiplier:

Race B: A Classic Sprint at Interlagos

Compared to the other races this week, Race B offers a more straightforward, yet still competitive, experience. It's a classic sprint race featuring a specific racing category, but with a twist: Gr.3 cars, which usually reside in Race C, are taking center stage here. This race is typically easy to explain, and this week is no exception. You'll be competing in a five-lap race around the iconic Autodromo de Interlagos – the sole South American track in the entire history of the Gran Turismo series – piloting your chosen Gr.3 car.

With no multipliers for tire wear or fuel consumption and the mandatory Racing Hard tires, this race boils down to essentially five qualifying laps. Your main focus will be on executing clean laps and being mindful of those infamous turn-one divebombs.

And this is the part most people miss... The Audi R8 and Lamborghini Huracan siblings have been popular choices. However, with a new Gr.3 car expected in an update later this week (for the second time in two updates!), we might see a shift in the BOP or a brand-new contender by Thursday. It's always worth keeping an eye on potential meta changes!

Race B Details:

  • Track: Autodromo de Interlagos – 5 laps
  • Car: Gr.3 – Garage/Specified Car
  • Power/Weight/PP Limit: BOP (M)
  • Tires: Racing Hard
  • Settings: Partially Allowed – Brake Balance
  • Start Type: Rolling Start
  • Mandatory Pit Stop:
  • Fuel Multiplier: 1x
  • Tire Multiplier: 1x

Race C: Dynamic Weather at Suzuka!

Race C is another wild card this week, sending you to the legendary Suzuka Circuit in the Gr.2 cars. But it's not just any Gr.2 car; you'll have a select choice of three 2008 Super GT GT500 cars: the Honda NSX, Lexus SC, and Nissan GT-R. This ten-lap race at Suzuka would be thrilling enough on its own, but it's amplified by one significant detail: dynamic weather.

Prepare for the possibility of rain, and not just a light shower – the weather radar might show some serious downpours! For those new to wet racing, the radar is your best friend. It indicates the intensity of the rain, helping you anticipate where it's heading. Light blue usually means a drizzle, where you might not need to change anything. However, anything darker than that will necessitate at least Intermediate tires. If you see green, yellow, or red on the radar, it's time for full Wets.

Don't forget to monitor the surface water gauge on the lower-left of your display. If it's below the first marker, slick tires might still be viable. Between the two markers, you're in Intermediate conditions, and above the second marker, it's full Wets. Remember, light blue indicates average surface water, while dark blue highlights those sudden, splashy puddles.

Here's a point that often catches drivers out: There's a mandatory pit stop for this race. Failing to pit will result in a one-minute penalty added to your race time. Also, be extra cautious when entering and exiting the pit lane, as crossing the solid lines will earn you a three-second on-track penalty.

Race C Details:

  • Track: Suzuka Circuit – 10 laps
  • Car: Gr.2 Selection – Garage/Specified Car
  • Power/Weight/PP Limit: BOP (M)
  • Tires: Racing Medium, Racing Intermediate/Wet
  • Settings: Partially Allowed – Brake Balance
  • Start Type: Rolling Start
  • Mandatory Pit Stop: 1
  • Fuel Multiplier: 2x
  • Tire Multiplier: 6x

What do you think about the return of off-road racing and the dynamic weather at Suzuka? Do you prefer the strategic depth of Race C or the pure chaos of Race A? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below – we'd love to hear your take!

With Gran Turismo 7's Daily Races updating every Monday, keep an eye out for the next set of challenges arriving on Monday, February 2nd.
